Jesus – the incarnation

The Bible tells us that…

“… the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14)

Jesus became a flesh and blood human being, a man. Most of us are familiar with this idea, it is part of a long church tradition. It is part of the Christmas record, but the Christmas stories and carols do not often talk about just why he became a man.

Many people stories or songs may talk about Jesus becoming a man so that he could take away our sin, or to become our saviour. But why did he have to become a man to do this?

In this sermon, Andrew explores just why Jesus had to become a man to be able to save us from our sins.
