“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8–9)
“I didn’t do anything!”
How often does a parent hear that? How often do you think the police hear that each day? And it is almost never true. Even if you did not do the thing you are being accused of you have done plenty of other things that you should have been accused of.
Often when people say, “I didn’t do anything!” they are trying to say they have not done anything wrong, they are innocent. However the Bible tells us that everyone has sinned.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” (Romans 3:23)
In this sermon Andrew looks at the truth not that we have done nothing wrong, but that we have done nothing to make ourselves right with God. That we are saved by God’s Grace, not by what we have done.
